In response to USC Games' Designing for Interactive Media Narrative final project, Nani's Biryani is a cooking narrative game designed to help players connect with their loved ones through cooking and memories.

I was responsible for developing the initial script, the experimental game controls, and gameplay beats. I also led my group in iterating the design after a series of playtests.

Experience Overview
Nani's BIryani tells the story of modern isolation and the power of family tradition. The protagonist, Sona, lives far from home and receives a package containing the recipe for her grandmother's special dish.

As Sona cooks, the smells and sights evoke lost memories, and it is up to the player to help Sona navigate her past, bring her closer to her heritage, and reconnect with her grandmother.
